Barbara Beeton ('bb' for short)
bb specializes in the typesetting of mathematics. She has been involved in this since the mid '60s, at the American Mathematical Society, where she is part of the technical and author support team.
She has used a number of computer typesetting languages, from early experimental ones on through TeX. In her spare time she is editor of TUGboat, the Communications of the TeX Users Group. She has worked on committees developing international standards for document processing and font information interchange. And she's an entomologist for Donald Knuth, handling bug reports on TeX, Metafont and friends.
Her current project is trying to persuade the Unicode Technical Committee to assign codes to a lot of mathematical symbols they don't recognize.
